My fiction books have been launched. I now have a fiction author’s page and a nonfiction author page. This helps readers–and hopefully fans–distinguish between my different kinds of writing at a glance.

My Fiction Author’s Page
Cliff Harrison

My first book was a nonfiction release published under my orthonym (not one of my pen names), Clifford G. Harrison.

My Nonfiction Author’s Page

I have released two books so far in the nonfiction department. Then I focused on getting my fiction material published.

As of yesterday, I have published four books so far in the fiction category. All four are in the Father River: The Street Priest series. The short stories are installments of a saga. The stories are about a street priest going undercover as a covert author and researcher investigating the lives of the homeless living on the streets of Las Vegas, Nevada during the Great Recession. He tries to help the street people as well as troubleshoot the problems of homelessness in America. He is most interested in the war veterans that populate the street people by as much as 38%. The stories are based on actual incidences that inspired the writing.

The fiction is written under my diminutive, or abbreviated name, Cliff Harrison. Most fiction, but not all of it, will be published under my diminutive.

I am learning a lot about publishing and finetuning the formatting and inner works of publishing. I expect it to take up to one year, or to January of 2020 to be really proficient and profitable in my writing.  But, at least I am getting started.  Later, I will publish some post here on the Sunrise Mountain Publishing Blog as well as in Vegas Valley about publishing with Amazon-Kindle.

The Eyes of the Eagle

Beer & Pizza Celebration

Today marks the anniversary of something I celebrate every year on this date. It is the fourth anniversary of a mission in which someone reached freedom and independence.

In a daring escape from deep within the territory of international terrorists and Sharia Law stronghold, one young lady enslaved by a patriarchic society braved the enduring breakout to reach freedom in another country thousands of miles from her homeland.

At this precise moment in time, 1806 hours, on 8 August 2014, the Eagle landed in the United States of America. She was liberated from the evil forces that had enslaved her since birth. She had dreamed of such liberty as a little girl. As she laid her head on her pillow in her bedroom, a sea breeze was gently blowing against the curtains through her open window. She dreamed of a hearing the rolling thunder of the rotor blades of U.S. helicopters chopping through the sky coming to rescue her. She never let go of that dream. It was well more than a decade she suffered. By her mid-teens, she endured torture and was persecuted because she rejected an ideology that enslaved her and stripped her of her life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. As she matured into a young woman, the threats against her increased. Then, four years ago today, aboard the Eagle, she touched down on the soil of freedom and independence. She had reached the land of the free and the home of the brave, safely. Guardian angels would forevermore protect her from the forces of evil like no other protection could.

Coming within hours of imminent mutilation, torture, and a slow and barbaric execution, she was extracted from harm’s way. After more than forty-hours of an enduring flight with an initial flight path directly over hostile combat fields and urban fighting between Daesh (ISIS) terrorists and Iraqi warriors, where missile downing was imminently possible, the eyes of the angels guided her onward from harm’s way to safe harbor. Three planes had recently been downed by missiles and other hostilities, at least two of them full of civilians. It was a nerve-wracking journey with harrowing episodes every moment of the way. Trying times. Danger. Setbacks. Excitement. Fatigue. Anxiety. But at last, the Eagle made safe passage into the skies of freedom and independence, the skies of the United States of America, where the eagles soar high in the eyes of liberty and the face of justice.Transfered Copy from Computer 2 300

Today, at 1806 hours, victory calls for a renewed celebration. Beer and pizza! It’s an annual ritual.

There is another cause for celebration. As we leave the Freedom and Independence Month of July where we celebrate all month long the 4th of July and the freedom and independence movement of our humanitarianism mission we find ourselves still celebrating and extend the feast a few days more into the 8th of August with this day being every part of the celebrating. (Then it is back on strict, strict, dieting. Fasting and Ungh!)But there is more…

From Slavery to Freedom

Soon to be released will be the Freedom and Independence series of books, the 4th of July and Beyond,is part of that series, explaining our movement, our operations, and missions, worldwide.

From Domination to Independence

My great friend, Cristina, another survivor of evil forces, just celebrated with me and friends, our LEO birthdays, on the delayed 31st of July. Both of our birthdays were in the last week of July, four days apart. We also celebrated the launching of Sunrise Mountain Publishing with friends and the publishing of Book 3 in the series. Book 1 has since also been released and Book 2 is within hours from release. Two other books will follow those releases soon. As we celebrated multiple occasions, we enjoyed Mediterranean Cuisine at Shsish Kabob House on West Flamingo Road having an enjoyable meal with a pleasant waitress from Bulgaria.

Just a few days ahead of today’s 4th anniversary, the Clifford G. Harrison DIY Library, released Book 1 three days early of schedule. The Secret Weapons, Book 1 in the Revolutionary Eradication Systems series, A Standalone Introduction SHOPTALK Edition Book 1: Just Bugs & Social Problems.

I Washed My Face In the Morning Dew

When I was a young boy, growing into a teenager and then young adult, my late brother, Kenny, used to let me listen to his album collection. Later, when he went off to start his own life, he gave me that collection. They were the 33-1/3 RPM record albums. They were also called the LP or Long Playing albums. Among those vinyl albums were what are classics today. All of them were storytelling songs. Ballads, legends, love songs and a lot of truck-driving songs and songs about traveling. There was every trucker driver song and singing storyteller of the day. Too, among the high stack of classics were such greats of the times as the Beach Boys, the Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson, Peter Paul and Mary, Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, and many, many others.

Story telling music was a central part of my entertainment as well as aspiration. They stimulated my desires to be a writer, a storyteller and they inspired me to become a humanitarian.

We were poor. When I was 16 I started working at a a retail store. I purchased an 8-track player for a car I didn’t yet have and collected 8-track tapes. I had a large, growing collection to go along with my brother’s LP collection.

My late dad hooked up the 8-track player he setup for me in the backroom. Using alligator clamps he wired the player to a 12-volt car battery for juice. I learned to improvise early. Daddy was a master improviser. He didn’t live long enough to see me graduate at the age of 17. That’s always been a hollow spot in my heart. There was nothing I wanted more.

A lot of those songs were about people down on their luck. Traveling songs made up a lot of them. Love songs told about broken hearts. It was all part of the process that shaped my lifelong desire to be a storyteller, a writer. Too, it gave me the aspiration to be a humanitarian.

All of the songs in those days were written by great song writers of the time. They were sung by singing storytellers. One of the best among them was one of the newer guys that came along, Tom T. Hall. Like Bobby Bare and others, many of his songs were about traveling and people down on their luck. They told stories about people in great destitution. That was more than 50 years ago, about when a politician named Lyndon B. Johnson introduced into Congress what was called the Johnson Amendment. It was the beginning of the IRS 501(c)(3) and the War on Poverty. 50 years later, there are over one-million nonprofits and just as much destitution as there was in those days.

Tom T. Hall wrote and sang the song that stood out in that pile of albums and 8 track tapes with a voice all of its own. It was probably my favorite song, then, and now. He was a master at telling his stories so that you wouldn’t soon forget them. They called Tom T. Hall the Storyteller.

Honor Killing of Qandeel Baloch

Pakistan’s social-media queen, Qandeel Baloch, a world renown social celebrity, is dead from honor killing. Her brother murdered her, according to news reports breaking out of Pakistan at this hour. The video immediately below is a live stream out of Pakistan at 6:00 AM PST. Thousands of women are slain every year in Pakistan and Middle Eastern regions for dishonoring their family. THERE IS NO FREEDOM FOR FEMALES IN THE LAND AMERICA SPENDS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN SUPPORT. Ms. Baloch had fled Karachi to the Punjab or Multan region. There are conflicting reports, so time is needed to sort out the inaccurate reports. She was threaten with death. She was denied additional security from the Pakistan government. Attacks against her came too sudden for others to rescue her. Her escape was unsuccessful.

For millions of females enslaved under Sharia Law, there is no freedom and independence. Even at the age of 26, Qandeel Baloch was not able to live her life as she alone chose to live it. She was provocative, yes, but that is no reason the choice of her life, the clothes she desired to wear, the music she enjoyed playing and listening to and the lifestyle she chooses to live ought to bring her suffering death. This world must change course and DEMAND the banning of Sharia Law. Because one is born female is no excuse to enslave them as Islamic religion does. All women born under Islamic families have a birth right to freedom and independence. They have an inalienable right, a human right to be free and independent, to make their own choices of how they will live and conduct their life. We as a world must push the movement forward to free the females of Sharia Law slavery. Period!

BBC Report on Qandeel Baloch honor killing/

A woman’s behavior is not a man’s business. In Pakistan and most of the Arab and Islamic world females can be tortured or executed for such trivial things as failing to wear their vail, for the clothes they wear… or don’t wear. For dishonoring their family. For speaking to a male outside of their family membership and for adopting the Western culture and many other idiotic things based upon 7th Century culture.

It’s a sad day in the history of human rights that a world that calls itself modern and civilized continues to allow in the 21st Century a patriarchal culture and political ideology that enslaves the female in subversion, suppression, oppression, tyranny and ungodly evil.
